Simply Baby

I apologize for being such a bad blogger. I was anticipating January to be a slow month and it was not as slow as I envisioned...which is a very good thing! I have many projects to complete behind the scenes.

An extended session in multiple locations, with multiple outfits throughout Duluth/Superior will be held in February of this year...that's just around the corner! You will receive cutting edge senior portraits at a great price in exchange for showing your photographs to friends. One Senior will be chosen from each area High School.

What have I done?!

So I scheduled 3 weddings for 2007, eh? …so that’s 3 short of my maximum commitment... As I am making my lists, arranging assistants, obtaining advice from wedding veterans and looking into possible second shooters, it hits me. Am I going to go through these weddings secretly photographing only the little people and seeking out babies and children in the crowd?! Haha…ok, so I would never do that, but I might have to stay extra long and fulfill that itch! I am so entirely humbled that anyone would ask me to capture their wedding, seriously. It’s not a commitment that I plan to take lightly, nor do I consider myself a wedding expert. In fact, the first few inquiries I received, I referred the couple elsewhere and I hope some of those couples took me up on that referral! The ones that still want me to photograph their big day, even after my referral suggestion, thank you. You don’t know how honored that I am to be trusted with one of the most memorable days of your life!

In the meantime, I am looking for ONE lucky high-school sweetheart or snowball couple to photograph for a personal project, the day of your high school dance! I just need 1-2 hours of your time...outside...in January...yes, it will be cold...but FUN TOO!! Email me for details & perks. info@nicolemarie.biz

Is it really winter?!

It's a little bit strange to not have snow in Minnesota this time of year...wait...I think it is snowing right now! Greenish brown grass and bare trees just aren't my idea of winter...although the few times it has snowed, the white flock was beautiful! The great thing about not having snow is that I have an excuse to shoot in my very favorite locations... They are alway beautiful, no matter what time of year...this time of year is less crowded too!

Meet "J, (it was warmer next to the building)... I don't even need to tell you how sweet she was to work with...you can see for yourself!

Can you tell it is 33 degrees? Mom was on her way over with her jacket...

This is "L"..he is always a hoot! He's lucky to have some snow in his backyard.

Congratulations Jill!

Congrats to my dear client Jill who scheduled her first session with me just this past March. She is the winner of the 2006 referral contest!!! Let me tell you, the contest was very close! I asked Jill and another client to verify their referrals because it was that close. I can’t thank everyone enough for all of the wonderful business sent my way. I really have been blessed to be able to work with such great people! Jill will receive her choice of a photo tile necklace or portrait handbag.
